Using Microsoft Teams - aimed at students

Installation on Laptop

1. Download Microsoft Teams - Go here.

2. Install Microsoft Teams (locate the file in your downloads folder).

3. When prompted, log in to Microsoft using your Student email address and password. If prompted, setup and/or use Two-step authenticate.

4. Once installed, MS Teams will be available to open. Open the Teams app.

Installation on Phone

1. Download MS Teams from your app store.

2. Install and open Teams.

3. When prompted, log in to Microsoft using your Student email address and password. If prompted, setup and/or use Two-step authenticate.

4. Click 'Allow' to allow notifications.

5. Click 'OK' to allow access to the phone's microphone.

6. Finalise setup.

Using MS Teams Online

1. Go to office.com.

2. Login to Microsoft using your Student email address and password. If prompted, setup and/or use Two-step authenticate.

3. Click on App Launcher (typically a square of 9 dots in the top left corner).

4. Click on Teams.

Using MS Teams

1. Click on chat to see history of chats.

2. Click on calendar to see what is timetabled.

3. Use the search at the top on the chat tab to find people within your organisation.

4. Create a meeting in calendar by clicking in a day/time slot. Ensure online meeting is on for the function to join as a video call.
